About the Role

As a Paraeducator with the El Segundo School District, you will support students in the classroom, assist teachers with instruction, and help maintain a positive, structured learning environment. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about education, child development, or gaining experience in school-based or behavioral support settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Student Support: Assist students with academic tasks, engagement, and individualized learning needs.

• Classroom Assistance: Support teachers with instruction, materials, and daily classroom operations.

• Behavioral Guidance: Reinforce positive behaviors and help maintain a safe, supportive environment.

• IEP Collaboration: Support students with accommodations outlined in their Individualized Education Plans.

• Supervision: Monitor students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other school activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (some districts may require additional units or certifications).

• Experience working with children or in a school setting preferred.

• Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.

• Ability to follow teacher direction and support diverse learning needs.
