Special Education Teacher – $49/hr – Killeen, TX – Full-Time
Position Overview:
Amergis is seeking Special Education Teachers to provide high-quality instructional services for K–12 students. Educators will implement curriculum, support behavioral needs, develop IEP goals, and collaborate with school teams to ensure student success.
Assignment Details:
Location: Killeen, TX
Start Date: February 9, 2026
End Date: May 28, 2026
Contract Length: 15 weeks
Schedule: 37 hours/week
Modality: In-person
Openings: Multiple

Role Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction in behavioral management classrooms (Elementary & Middle School)
- Plan and implement curriculum tailored to student needs
- Develop and draft IEP goals; participate in ARD meetings
- Monitor student progress through assessments
- Maintain accurate documentation and records
- Collaborate with general education staff
- Implement behavior management strategies and classroom routines
- Provide support for physical needs when required
Credentials & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- Valid state teaching certificate required
- Must have EC–12 Special Education + EC–6 Core OR 4–8 Generalist
- Experience in teaching preferred
- CPR, TB screening, and health clearance if applicable
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
