Spotlighting Speech Language Pathologist Jenna Foremski

Amergis Staffing values all of our amazing SLPs who dedicate themselves to helping provide patients with the best possible care. In honor of National Speech Language Pathologist Day, we are spotlighting one of our dedicated school-based professionals, Jenna Foremski. Jenna is a remote SLP based in Virginia, who has been working with Amergis Staffing for a school system in Vancouver, Washington.

“Jenna Foremski is an SLP who has been amazing to work with since the first time speaking with her. Jenna demonstrated great patience and understanding from the beginning conversations we had and through her current role,” said Amergis Staffing recruiter Emily Cantu. “The school district has reported positive feedback about Jenna’s performance and stated that she has been doing fantastic and have really appreciated working with her!”

Q&A with Jenna

To help highlight Jenna’s important work, Amergis Staffing asked her to share what inspired her to become a SLP, and what she loves about her position.

What inspired you to become a SLP?

The ability to help people, advocate for them and encourage them to use their voice. Also, having the opportunity to work in a variety of settings is something I really enjoyed.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

When working with kids and they realize that they are improving and feel accomplished, is a very rewarding feeling. The most memorable case was a quadriplegic, nonverbal student who received an eye gaze communication device and telling her mother “I love you” for the first time.

What do you love about working with Amergis?

I love the flexibility [Amergis] provides and the variety of options there are for opportunities. I love remote work, and having the opportunity to work anywhere in the nation. Lastly, not feeling micromanaged by the agency and having open communication with my school district.

Do you have a moment that you are most proud of that you would like to share?

My proudest moment would be graduating from my graduate program and becoming a SLP.
