Job Posting: Physical Therapist –School-Based (Elkton, MD)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–3:45 PM (35 hours/week)
Duration: Remainder of the School Year (Approx. 6 Months)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to provide high-qualitytherapy services to students across multiple schools within the Elkton, MDarea. The Physical Therapist will complete evaluations, implement treatmentplans, collaborate with educators and families, and document services inaccordance with each student’s individualized plan of care and applicablephysician orders.
This role requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, and theability to navigate a school-based caseload across several sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive student evaluations.
- Provide physical therapy services in accordance with established plans of care.
- Document all services following professional and district standards.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress.
- Travel between assigned school locations (float schedule required).
- Participate in the first-week onsite orientation/shadowing with the PT Manager.
Minimum Requirements
- Current Maryland Physical Therapist License.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Physical Therapist in a school setting.
- Current CPR certification (if applicable).
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (as applicable).
- Current health certificate (as required by contract/state regulations).
- Must meet federal, state, and local requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.

Weekly Float Schedule:
- Monday: 2 schools – 7 students
- Tuesday: 2 schools – 6 students
- Wednesday: 1 school + preschool events – 1 student
- Thursday: 2 schools – 8 students
- Friday: 2 schools – 9 students
