Special Education Teacher – Resource (K–12)

Schedule: Full-time, approx. 7:20 AM – 3:20 PM
Position Overview
The Special Education Teacher will provide quality instructional services to students in grades K–12 under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator. This role focuses on planning and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), offering resource support, and collaborating with general education staff to ensure student success.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction and tutorial assistance
- Write and maintain IEPs and compliance documentation
- Consult with general education teachers and participate in team planning
- Support student growth and maintain a positive learning environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Valid state teaching certificate (out-of-state licenses considered if SC certification application is in process)
- Minimum 1 year teaching experience preferred
- Compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements
- CPR, TB screening, and health certificate as applicable
Additional Details
- Caseload: Approximately 200 students school-wide (specific caseload discussed during interview)
- Interview Process: Virtual with Executive Director & HR, followed by in-person campus tour
