The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age

Hours/schedule: | Regular School Year Hours: Mon - Fri (7:45 A.M-2:45 P.M) |
Qualifications/Licensure: | HS Diploma/GED Required |
Typical job duties & work environment: | Working 1-1 with students that have Autism and related behavior issues. Also some other functions such as classroom prep |
Specific experience required: | Previous experience with Autism |
Top 3 skills needed for success: | Timely, professional, able to verbally deescalate |
