To emphasize our focus on helping communities, one Amergis office recently concluded successful supply drives for schools in both Nebraska and Kansas. This initiative highlights our commitment to supporting education and fostering strong community relationships.

Nebraska: A Tradition of Giving

For the second consecutive year, our office in Nebraska organized a supply drive benefiting Miller Park Elementary in the Omaha Public Schools district. Before launching the drive, team members met with the school’s principal to gain a clear understanding of the specific supplies required. Running from June to August, the drive saw enthusiastic participation from our local office, their friends, and their family members.

The team collected over 500 essential supplies, including markers, colored pencils, wipes, and composition notebooks.

“This initiative really showcased how focused we are on helping our community,” Paula, the drive organizer, reflected. “It brought our entire office together, and even inspired contributions from other Amergis offices. The overall camaraderie within Amergis was truly heartwarming.”

On August 1st, our team delivered the items personally and spoke with the principal, who expressed deep gratitude for our ongoing commitment to the district and school.

Kansas: Going the Extra Mile

The team in our Omaha office wanted to do even more to help students in their surrounding area, so they organized a second supply drive. This drive benefited Central Elementary School in Kansas’s Olathe Public Schools district. Running from May to August, the initiative was inspired by a desire to strengthen our relationship with the school district.

Much like the first drive, the office tapped into their network of family and friends for the drive. They collected over 100 items including markers, wipes, pencil boxes, and hand sanitizer. Morgan, who organized the drive, took it upon herself to deliver the supplies to Central Elementary on August 12th. She braved a 6-hour round trip drive to make sure everything arrived safely – which she said was completely worth it.

“We wanted to show that we care about the students and appreciate the partnership beyond just our business relationship,” Morgan explained. “The teachers were pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality of the supplies we brought. It was wonderful to see the looks of gratitude on the teachers’ faces when we arrived with everything.”

A Collaborative Community Effort

The office promoted their drives through various channels, including internal communications, social media, and text messages. This initiative highlights our dedication to community service beyond our core business, and we hope it shows how organizations can actively support education and strengthen local communities.

Fostering Long-Term Success

Our goal extends beyond providing immediate resources; we aim to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to our school district partners and their communities. As students in Omaha and Olathe settle into the school year, we hope these supplies will equip them for success.

These drives are just two examples of our servant leadership approach, which encompasses both staffing solutions and broader support for the communities we serve.
