The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.

- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing educational activities and lesson plans.
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, both indoors and outdoors.
- Support the lead teacher in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Provide individualized attention to children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Assist with daily routines, including snack time, nap time, and bathroom breaks.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- 6 + units of Early Childhood Education (ECE) (required).
- College credits (required).
- High school diploma (required).
- Previous experience working with young children is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
