AmergisEducational Staffing is partnered with a school in New Bedford, MA whois currently seeking an After School Nurse (RN or LPN) to work withstudents on a contractual basis.
Details ofthe Position Include:
- Pay Rate:
- $42/hour for LPN
- $52/hour for RN
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 2025 – 2026 School Year
- Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 2:30 PM – 6/6:30 PM
- May go past 6:30 PM depending on the time of year
- Shifts are always guaranteed
- Optional Saturday coverage available upon request
- Requirements:
- Active RN or LPN license
- Ability to float across the district (one school per day)
- Description:
RN or LPN needed to float across the New Bedford Public School system. The nurse will cover one school per day, filling in when the regular school nurse is out or unavailable. The role includes being on standby for afterschool programs.

The School Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student/client care and/or contracted services in a school setting. The School Nurse may also be in a supervisory position within the contracted services. The School Nurse provides services in accordance with Amergis Healthcare Staffing's philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited registered, practical or vocational nursing program
- Licensed as a Licensed Practical, Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing
- One year of professional experience, preferred
- Current CPR
- PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
